Innovative manufacturer

Femtonics was founded in 2005 by two scientists as a spin-off R&D company with roots in the Institute of Experimental Medicine of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Since then, we have expanded into a multidisciplinary team and became one of the most innovative manufacturers of two-photon laser scanning microscopes. Our microscopes provide the most innovative technologies, fitting a wide variety of in vivo and in vitro biological applications.

Our performance-driven attitude and clear focus on our customers’ needs while addressing the emerging needs of scientists has resulted in 20 world records, 120+ microscopes sold worldwide, 300 satisfied users and 130+ publications.

We are dedicated to neuroscience to discover new technologies, and we aim to be the first in the development of high value-added 3D and modular laser scanning microscopes.

It has won a high a number of grants and professional prizes, and has been validated by our high-impact publications in the most prestigious international scientific journals, and our presentations at major conferences. Quality Policy

We are committed to providing you with superior two-photon microscopes and services, as our users are our top priority, while shaping our concepts into high-end products. We comply with all of the requirements of our ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System. Femtonics has developed standards and procedures with its suppliers to ensure the high quality of modules as well as raw materials which are used to manufacture the microscopes we supply to you. Establishing and guaranteeing the mechanical and optical stability of our microscopes: all production stages, including product engineering, manufacture, integration, assembly, installation, testing and quality assurance are monitored and controlled.
