Dodt Gradient Contrast (DGC) is a microscopy technique developed by Prof Hans-Ultrich Dodt during 1990s. By using similar principle to oblique contrast, DGC produces images with contrast comparable to those made by Differential Interference Contrast (DIC). Specific adjusting of the contrast enables various structures (horizontal or vertical) to be highlighted.
